At Shiver School your child's safety is our #1 priority! In an effort to ensure our students and staff are prepared in case of an emergency, we will conduct a Lockdown/Intruder Alert Drill on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at 10 am. All Grady County School's Resource Officers will be present along with other important support personnel. Grady EMA director, Richard Phillips is coordinating with volunteer fire fighters and the Grady County Sherrif's Department so they can respond as if we were actually experiencing an intruder on our campus. Our teachers are reviewing drill procedures with students, and the students are fully aware that it is ONLY a drill. Please talk to your children at home about school safety and the importance of being attentive and engaged during safety drills. As always, we appreciate your support. Thank you.

Eye screenings will be conducted at Shiver School on Wednesday, Sept. 20 for students in 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 7th grades who return the signed permission form. Screenings will be done for any student, for whom permission is given, regardless of insurance status or insurance carrier.

Thursday, April 20th!
Shiver School was honored to have former Shiver students, who are members of the Cairo High School Stage Makers production of Beauty and the Beast, come read to our students on Thursday. We had the Beast (Ellis Hendrix), Luminaire (Payton Josey), Silly Girl (Aubrey Whigham), Silly Girl (Lilly Chaplin) and Chip (Kenzlea Candelaria). We encourage everyone to go see the CHS production the weekend of April 21 - 23, 2023. If these students are any indication of what the audience is in store for, the production is going to be amazing.
