The mission of the Grady County Schools Social Services Department is to help all students reach their full potential.  School social workers provide unique services to students, families, and schools to address a wide range of social, economic, and emotional issues that may affect learning.  School social workers provide services to students in PreK through 12th grade and serve all schools in Grady County.  Depending upon the nature of the situation, individual students and/or the entire family may be referred to outside agencies to address the identified needs.  Grady County Schools Social Service Department has established close working partnerships with Juvenile and State Court, Department of Family Children Services, Public and Mental Health Agencies, Grady County Children and Youth, and other Community Agencies and Programs.  School social workers receive referrals from the social work portal.
